Copper Bathroom DIY πŸ‚β³πŸ›πŸ”¨πŸ”©

I recently decided to give our bathroom a bit of a revamp. After living in our house for 2 years now, it was one of the only rooms we hadn’t really done anything to so thought it would be nice to put our own stamp on it.

I decided on the colours copper & grey. I am loving copper at the moment and I think it looks super stylish in home ware along with grey to give it a freshen up.

Loads of homeware stores are going crazy over copper right now, and there’s so many nices pieces! I wanted to do a mix of store brought and DIY so this is what I did.

I started off by painting the walls in ‘Cosy Grey’ from Wilko’s bathroom paint range. Β I brought some white satin paint to freshen up the skirting board, We also had a bathroom cabinet which needed abit of love, so I took the doors off and repainted it and made it into a shelf instead.

Then the best part! Accessorising the room with all things copper. I brought a couple of bits from the shop called ‘tiger’. Used these for decorations and to put our toothbrushes in.Β

I also brought this cute glass jar with copper wire around the top which I put a little cactus plant in. I also had another cactus in a yellow pot, so I just painted the pot the same grey and used this too. I think they both look super cute on the window sill .

I also found some cute copper wire fairy lights in primark for just Β£1.50 so I got these to drape on the window sill.

I found this lovely browny/copper glass candle holder in homebase, i teamed it with a grey scented candle, once again from primark.

I decided to up cycle some of the jars I had for my wedding table centrepieces aswell as some little photo frames and a plain soap despencer using copper spray paint.

I used the spray paint also to spray some of the fixtures in copper too.

Β I used the White paint to freshen up the basket unit I had already in the bathroom and used the copper spray paint to fix up the wire structure.Β

I went in the range to see what they had as they usual have a awesome selection of homeware. I found a lovely copper ceramic heart and cute vintage picture frame to give the room the a cosy touch.

Β The final touch was these hexagon mirrored shapes to make a mirror in whatever shape you like. I thought these were super cool and abit different. Plus geometrical shapes are all the rage right now. (Does anyone say that anymore? God I feel old ha).Β

I’m really happy with how the whole bathroom came out and it was a fun little project for me to do and I enjoyed doing some of the DIY bits and picking out items too.

Now to decide on my next project!

Untill next time

xoxo
