BLOGMAS DAY SIX- DIY Christmas present ideas ๐ŸŽ

Christmas can be such a expensive time, all the gifts, decorations and food to buy, it all adds up super quick! Any money saving ideas are always welcome to me so thought I’d share with you some DIY Christmas present ideas that don’t have to cost very much and have that little homemade touch.

Gift idea number 1 – Spa in a jar! ๐Ÿ’…๐Ÿผย For all of those friends or family you know who love abit of relaxation and pampering, then this is the perfect gift for them! This is really great as you can customise this to whatever you wish! Pop little bits you know they like or get them some new products for them to try. All you need is a fairly big mason style jar, they sell these in loads of places, QD or even some of the pound shops do them. Then you can fill it with all kinds of pamper products. Personally if I was doing this I would put in it:

A Bath bomb, a small bottle of bubble bath, a bath scrunchy, a face mask, a nail varnish and a nice scented candle. Perfect for a lovely relaxing bath!

Gift idea number 2 – Movie/cinema night ๐Ÿฟย This is a really cute idea for a friend or a couple as a joint gift. You can get these cute popcorn tubs from the range or B&M, I think their super cute to put the gift in. You could then, depending on bugdet, either, put a cineworld or odean cinema voucher or a slightly cheaper alternative, buy a DVD or a couple if you can find a good deal, for them to enjoy together. Then you can fill it with lots of treats for them to enjoy while watching the film. Here’s a few ideas-

Popcorn, share bag of their fav choccy, share bag of their fav sweets, 2 x bottles of drink they enjoy, Doritos & salsa for them to make their own nachos!

Gift idea number 3 – Cooking kit ๐Ÿดย

This is a good idea for anyone who enjoys cooking as a hobby. I think the idea of putting it all in the oven glove is super cute too! You can get some lovely patterened oven gloves so you can personalise it to their taste. Then you can fill it with any pieces of kitchen accessorie you think they’ll use and enjoy. Anything such as-

Wooden spoon, wisk, and a spatula.

You can personalise it to their taste, if they like baking then you can put in some cookie cutters, and a pastry brush, or if there more into making pizzas and things, then a rolling pin and pizza cutter would work better. This would also be a wicked house warming present! ๐Ÿก

Gift idea number 4- Baking kit ๐Ÿชย ย For all those baking enthusiast, this is a brilliant idea! And so super simple. For this all you would need is a simple cookie recipe, or you could Taylor it to Christmas and perhaps find a gingerbread recipe. You then weigh out the ingredients you need and layer them in the jar. Of course you can’t include the wet ingredients, (just include the recipe so they know how much and what to use) but all the dry ones can be layered up. This looks so lovely in a mason style jar, which again you can get in QD or B&M. You can then decorate the jar with a cute ribbon and a label with the name and the simple recipe on the back.

Here’s a simple cookie recipe-

Gift idea number 5 – Chocolate Pretzel snowflakes โ„๏ธ

I actually made this for my mum last year as she’s so fussy with chocolate and only likes white. Again, all you need is a mason style jar, chocolate and pretzels. Simple! Around Christmas time, some shops do actually sell snowflake shaped pretzels, although I think the usual pretzel shape works just as well. You simply have to melt the white ย chocolate, then dip the pretzels into it, covering them all over, and then leaving them on a baking tray to dry and for the chocolate to solidify. You could also crush up some candy canes and scatter these on top before it drys for a minty Christmas crunch. You then simple pop them in the jar, decorate with a festive bow and label and there you go!

Gift idea number 6- Personalised Christmas tree decorationsย ๐ŸŽ„

Any personalised gift for me is a winner! I think the idea is super cute and so lovely and personal. If you can find a see through, preferably plastic, Bauble, then you can take the top off and add some sprinkles, or glitter. Then use a coloured marker pen to write their name, or even ‘baby’s first Christmas’ on, whatever you like really, then finish with a little ribbon on top and string for it to hang on the tree with and there’s your personalised decoration. You can alternatively get any bauble and simply write on it with a coloured pen. Above is the one from my friends wedding which is now on my Christmas tree.

I hope these have given you some affordable, DIY Christmas gift ideas โญ๏ธ

Happy making!

Untill next time
