Welcome to my BLOGMAS 2016. I hope you enjoy the next 24 days of Christmas filled posts’,
Lets kick this off with The Christmas Tag, so here goes…
1. What is your favourite Christmas Movie/s?
My favourite Christmas movie is between two. Until last year I had never watched home alone, however after watching it for the first time, I loved it so much! Its such a good Christmas film and I can’t wait to watch this again this December. (numerous times probably) I also really love The Grinch. It’s weird, wonderful and heartfelt, with the comedic factor too, an overall great Christmas film.
2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
We open our Christmas presents on Christmas morning. We always would, as children, open our Christmas stockings when we woke up in the morning and then wait until our parents woke to open our main presents downstairs. We would then open any other presents from family members dependant on who we saw for the rest of the day. We do the same now we have our own family, we open our stockings first and then all go down together to open the rest of the present on Christmas morning.
3. Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?
I don’t have a particular Christmas memory, but just Christmas’ when I was younger in general where awesome. We always would start off at ours and open all our presents together, and then head to my Nana’s house for Christmas dinner, then open our presents from here, have a evening Christmas buffet and we had little goody bags for the evening to open too, a few Christmas games and Christmas TV and that was our day.
4. Favourite festive food?
This is a tough one because one of my favourite things about Christmas is the food, but other than the delicious Christmas dinner, chocolates and what not, then it would have to be Cheese. You can’t have Christmas without a cheese board, so that’s probably my favourite.
5. Favourite Christmas gift ?
I’ve had loads of awesome Christmas presents over the years, I don’t think I could pick just one!
6. Favourite Christmas scent?
The smell of the Christmas dinner, but if we are talking candle Christmas scents then Yankee Christmas Cookie. I will be having this burning all day at home on Christmas to keep the house deliciously scented and cosy.
7. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
The last few Christmas eves, myself, my husband if he’s not working, my twin sister and her husband have made each other Christmas Eve boxes and enjoyed them together. They usually contain things like, Christmas films, cosy Christmas PJs or socks, ingredients to make hot chocolates, popcorn & chocolate coins. We get all cosy in our pjs, enjoy a Christmas film with some yummy snacks. Now that I have children I can’t wait to do the usual Christmas Eve traditions. We started with Noah last year, putting the mince pie and carrot out for Father Christmas on his plate, sprinkling reindeer food in the garden, and hanging out Father Christmas’ key as we don’t have a fireplace for him to come down. It’s lovely that he is so much more aware this year, he’s going to love it.
8. What tops your tree?
A silver star ⭐️
9. As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?
I don’t think I ever actually asked for anything too stupidly extravagant, there where probably things I asked for that my mum and dad said no to but I never asked for a pony or anything massive like that haha.
10. What’s the best part about Christmas for you?
Spending time with family, enjoying guilt free food & exchanging gifts.
What’s your favourite part of Christmas?
Until next time
